A new plane is always exciting and American Airlines took delivery of its first Airbus A321neo on Friday. The plane departed from Hamburg and landed in Pittsburgh, where it will be prepared for commercial flights.
This is the first of 100 A321neo planes to join the AA fleet. Its first passenger flight is scheduled to be April 2. Flight AA682 will depart Phoenix(PHX) and fly to Orlando(MCO).
This plane’s engines are apparently 15% more fuel-efficient and can deliver 90 miles per gallon per passenger and this plane will deliver faster Wi-Fi and power outlets. Sadly, American has densified its planes making the flight less comfortable as more passengers are being squeezed into the same space. The planes will carry a total of 196 seats; 20 in first, 47 Main Cabin Extra and 129 coach seats.
