Worst Airline Meals Ever? British Airways Bullet Stew Vs American Airlines Lobster Flake Roll

British Airways has improved catering on their Heathrow to New York JFK and Chicago flights using the highly acclaimed catering company Do & Co. Just watch out for bullet fragments in your food…

No joke! According to View From The Wing, on a recent Chicago-bound flight, one choice was Home Counties venison stew with “rosemary dumplings, roasted chestnuts, wilted kale.”

British Airways details that their caterer has taken ‘the greatest care’ in preparing the dish, but the menu warns “there is a very small risk of bullet fragments that could be found in the meal.”

On the bright side, at least you will find some actual venison in your stew. Oneworld partner American Airlines offers up bullet-free lobster rolls, with hardly any lobster. See what an American Airlines lobster roll looks like here! Where has the lobster gone? If you want to try out this delightful roll, here’s how to get a free upgrade on American Airlines so that you too can enjoy an almost lobster free lobster roll!

To be fair, most First and Business Class airline food is pretty decent. Pictured is my main meal from my most recent British Airways Dreamliner flight in First Class, although I won’t be choosing the bullet stew on my next flight!
