Delta Air Lines Created The Worst Flight Attendant Uniforms This Year

Many of the major carriers launched new uniforms in 2018. Delta launched their new “Passport plum” suits earlier this year and they were truly the worst in both style and functionality because these uniforms actually made staff ill!

The airline launched these uniforms, which were designed by Zac Posen and made by Lands’ End, in late May.

If you haven’t already read our opinions on Delta’s new uniforms, let’s just say that unexciting and practical is about as positive as I can be. Read more about our disappointment in Delta along with our own solution.

Now to add insult to injury, these uninspiring uniforms have made Delta staff sick, with rashes, skin irritation and chafing! The most common problem came from an apron that was irritating the necks of some flight attendants.

In 2017, American Airlines employees reported over 3,500 cases of adverse reactions, including rashes, nausea, headaches, and extreme respiratory distress, after their uniforms were introduced. By comparison, Delta’s staff have it easy with just a bit of skin irrritation!
