British Airways flies from London Gatwick’s South Terminal. There are two British Airways lounges at Gatwick South. We have reviewed both and both are very good. These include the British Airways First and the BA Business Lounges in the South Terminal.
Both the First and Business British Airways Lounges are head and shoulders above the other lounges found at Gatwick and are, for me, a reason to fly Club Europe or Club World out of Gatwick. The prize for the best Airport Lounges in the world does, however, probably go to Qatar Airways for it’s jaw-dropping Al Safwa First Class Lounge in Doha’s new Hamad International Airport.
It is worth mentioning that the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse lounge is probably the best airport lounge in Gatwick North Terminal. There are also a number of other paid lounge options that you can also access with your priority pass in both Gatwick North and South.
Can I Get Into These British Airways Lounges For Free?
No, to access these lounges you need British Airways Status or you need to be flying in Business or First.
Can I Access Any Gatwick Lounges For Free?
You either need a Priority Pass or a Lounge Club Pass to get into decent airport lounges at Gatwick. The FREE Amex Gold Card gets you two FREE Lounge Club visits, which will give you access to the No1 Airport Lounge, the Aspire Lounge or MyLounge. Versions of these three lounges are available in both Gatwick’s South and North Terminals.
You can also collect British Airways Avios air miles with the free Amex Gold card. Contact me for a referral which will get you 22,000 Amex bonus points, 2,000 more than the usual offering, when you spend 2,000GBP in your first three months.
22,000 Amex Points converted to Avios on a 1:1 ratio is enough Avios to get return flights from London to Nice for two people!
Remember, you and your partner can both apply for the Amex Gold card which would get you 4 free Lounge Passes to use at Gatwick, plus 44,000 Amex points (if you spend 2,000GBP each) if you apply via our referral link. Contact me for the link with bonus points. If you cancel these cards within 12 months, they will cost you nothing.

Being brutally honest, in looks and seating alone, the First class lounge at Gatwick South is no better than the Business Club Lounge at Gatwick South which I have already reviewed with pictures. In fact the seating on offer is… Read More.
The new British Airways Business lounge for Club passengers and First lounge is open at London Gatwick’s South Terminal and it is an absolute cracker. Following a late opening due to electrical teething troubles, the lounge is now fully functional… Read More.
