Book A Stay

The beautiful, historic city of Budapest, which is bisected by the River Danube is an ideal destination for the luxury traveller seeking a long weekend packed with stunning architecture, gastronomic delights and some heavenly relaxation in the city’s hot springs. Stay somewhere with grandeur and style appropriate for Hungary’s stunning capital; Kempinski Hotel Corvinus.

Location

Your location truly couldn’t be better, the hotel is located in the heart of downtown Budapest in the pedestrianised area at one side of Erzsébet tér Square. You are just a short stroll from the Danube River and near to the financial district and all the city’s major attractions. There is also a metro station just a minute’s walk away so if you want to explore further afield it’s very convenient.

Best Time To Visit

The best time to visit Budapest is either in the Spring or the Autumn months when the harsh winter hasn’t set in and the crowds of the summer months are quieter. Either March to May or September to November are the optimum months.

How To Get There

It couldn’t be easier to get to Budapest, one of the reasons it’s so excellent for a short break away. You can fly direct from London with British Airways or with low-cost carriers Ryanair, Norwegian Air, easyJet and Wizz Air. Flights go from Heathrow (LHR), Gatwick (LGW), Luton (LTN) and Stansted (STN) and take under 2 and a half hours. You can also now fly direct from New York and Chicago with LOT Polish Airlines, the journey from New York takes less than 9 hours and 9 hours and 20 minutes from Chicago. The hotel is just a 30-minute ride from the airport.

Style & Character

The Kempinski Hotel Corvinus is very luxurious and very stylish. From the dramatic glass and stone exterior, to the stunning double height lobby and the inviting promenade-style ground floor; you are seduced as soon as you arrive.

Service & Facilities

The ground floor promenade is delightful, take a wander and pop into the takeaway deli, a café, a flower and gift shop, and the Kempinski Gallery that showcases the work of young Hungarian artists. Or head up to the second floor and pay a visit to the signature spa. Here you can relax in the indoor pool and whirlpool, work out at the gym or indulge with a treatment or a trip to the Finnish and bio sauna, steam bath, Kneipp foot soak, special bucket shower, ice fountain and Tepidarium. There’s also an underground parking garage which includes a station of charging electric cars and the business and event services are excellent.

The service is every bit as exceptional as you would expect. The staff are extremely professional, accommodating and helpful; the concierge service is also well worth using for everything from tours to reservations.

Rooms

Stay in one of 351 elegant rooms which includes 35 extra chic suites. For a central city location, all the rooms are huge! Facilities are great too with a pillow menu, spacious bathroom, flat screen smart LED TV and a Nespresso machine. While obviously, the suites are the ultimate option for luxury travel, there are also six categories of room. When choosing your room, it’s worth considering that a recent facelift, which was overseen by British designer Alex Kravetz, has left the Superior and Deluxe Rooms refreshed and Grand Deluxe and Premium Grand Deluxe Rooms beautifully refurbished. The Deluxe Rooms (Deluxe, Premium Deluxe, Grand Deluxe and Premium Grand Deluxe) also have views of Erzsébet Park making these even more tempting.

Food & Drink

The culinary highlight here has to be the only Nobu in Hungary and the first in Central Europe. Who, it’s worth noting, also offer the 24-hour in-room dining option. The stunning restaurant serves the chef Nobuyuki Matsuhisa’s new-style Japanese cuisine, where traditional techniques are redefined through South American flavours. For a more casual, lighter bite, try a modern bistro experience at ÉS Bisztró. The very stylish, infamous coffeehouse The Living Room is much loved for its coffee, cakes and champagnes. Your evening entertainment is taken care of too; visit the Nobu Lounge Bar for delicious signature drinks from Saké to a rice wine liqueur and see the night away at Blue Fox The Bar – a legendary stop on Budapest’s places to be seen where you can sit with a chic cocktail in hand and soak up the ambience.

We love this hotel because it’s location literally couldn’t be better; the facilities are unrivalled and it epitomises luxury travel beautifully.
