I thought the new Delta Airlines uniforms were bad, but the new American Airlines uniforms are simply appalling!
American Airlines only recently released new uniforms (in late 2016) but as a result of flight attendant complaints which included difficulty in breathing and skin reactions (some reactions were from crew members who were simply standing near others who were wearing the uniform), American Airlines has come out with an alternative new uniform.
These new uniforms, which will be rolled out in 2020, are designed in Parisian Blue and are awful. They look like cheap office suits with a horrible colour scheme, distracting patterns and boring cut. Take a look at the picture above and then weep.
American Airlines is otherwise a fairly decent legacy airline. We like their American Airlines Business Class and their overall long-haul offering is decent in all classes, so why such a dull uniform choice for such an iconic carrier? The mind boggles!
Now cleanse your mind with this video, that I have highlighted on a number of occasions but sadly no airline decision maker has taken notice. It showcases the wonderful and inspiring Hainan uniforms. Talk about a contrast!
