I love when something totally new and different hits the luxury travel market. Something that gives you the chance to travel differently and this is very much the case with the fabulous The Student Hotel who offer an innovative hybrid co-living concept, so as well as being a luxury hotel, their properties are also designer student residences and modern co-working spaces.
Who are The Student Hotel?
The Student Hotel (TSH) aim to change how we live by creating stunning spaces in which we can stay, work and study. They revitalize neighbourhoods by giving a brand new lease of life to old unused buildings which may well have fallen into disrepair. These properties become a thriving hub used by both locals and international travellers. Their facilities are state of the art, colourful and very stylish. They offer a genuine home from home environment and are perfect for short stay travels, meetings, business trips as well as discerning students.
Character & Facilities
TSH properties are funky, urban spaces designed around a thriving common area. They are hip and vibrant so the modern luxury traveller fits right in. They tend to have large flexible co-working spaces and chill out lounges as well as meeting rooms and event spaces ideal for business or studies. There are libraries, all-day dining restaurants, gyms, as well as fun extras like gaming tables. Some sites even have swimming pools too. You can make use of special TedTalks booths, there are laundry facilities perfect for extended stays and designer bikes to help you explore. Best of all, they are very sociable spaces, TSH is not meant for someone wanting to be a recluse, they are friendly and great for networking, for meeting people from other parts of the world, for co-working or just for kicking back and having a giggle.
Locations
You’ll find TSH locations spread across some of the most fascinating and current cities in Europe. Top locations include Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Paris, The Hague, Barcelona, Eindhoven and Maastricht. They are expanding fast too with new locations set to open in Madrid and Berlin in 2019, and Vienna and Rome in 2020. They plan to have a total of 41 properties across European cities by 2021.
TSH Florence Lavagnini in Florence, Italy
TSH Florence, which opened in 2017, is located in a 20,000 square metre historic palazzo situated in the very heart of the city. The setting makes the very most of the stunning building in which it is housed with a gorgeous and vast public courtyard piazza and a breath-taking rooftop pool with sensational city views. There’s also a game room, 24/7 reception, laundry and a funky concept store, as well as the usual TSH designer work lounges, co-working offices and meeting spaces. Workout while you’re away in the panoramic fitness area, unwind with a drink at the Sky bar, dine and mingle at the hip Italian food restaurants on the ground floor and explore the beautiful Tuscan city on two wheels with the exclusively designed bike. You can stay in a Budget, Single, Standard or Standard Plus room but discerning travellers should look to at the very least an Executive or Family Room (these huge apartments have two king sized beds) but ideally to a Junior Suite or Suite. Both suites are super stylish, with lots of room to spread out but best of all, the Suites have massive 38m² private terrace with Duomo views!
