We have taken a number of river cruises and we have reviewed and compared our river cruise experiences below. River cruises offer a way to explore one or more countries in style from the river. They offer a very sophisticated way to travel and they include food, od and evening drinks which is a major advantage over most sea-based cruises.
There are various ships you can cruise on across the rivers in Europe. We have compared our experiences across the various ships to help you make a better decision on which cruise to pick and which ship to pick. Make sure you book your cruises, hotels and flights via our luxury travel concierge to get free upgrades, breakfast and credit.
Interestingly, if you are offered a choice of airline to fly out to your departure destination, we particularly liked the economy service offered on the KLM Cityhopper which we also reviewed. Unlike flying on Flybe or British Airways, on the KLM flights you get a light bite and a drink.
