Book A Stay

On a visit to the amazing Angkor Wat temples in Northwestern Cambodia, most visitors base themselves at the gateway town of Siem Reap, now a buzzing location in its own right. The rather fabulous art-concept Memoire Siem Reap Hotel is located right in the middle of the two, offering the ideal location.

Location

The hotel has an enviable location: a 10-minute walk to the Old Market and lively Pub Street of Siem Reap and a 10-minute drive to the famous Angkor Wat and also to Siem Reap-Angkor International Airport.

Style & Character

The four-star boutique hotel is contemporary and achingly chic with a definite Cambodian influence, but there’s something rather special about the place, too. All 72 guest rooms and communal areas have been designed around different Khmer artworks. This creates a gorgeous array of colors, and it’s done sympathetically and with a real sense of style.

Service & Facilities

The outdoor swimming pool provides a real oasis of calm when you return awed but hot and tired from a long day at Angkor Wat. It’s a great spot to relax, surrounded by vertical gardens with fragrant orchids, jasmine, and colorful hibiscus, comfortable loungers, and colorful chairs. My favorite spot, though, is definitely the swing daybed by the pool bar! Head to the Memoire Spa for some extra assistance with your relaxation.

You can also take a Khmer Cuisine cookery class, borrow the hotels’ bicycles, and explore Siem Reap on two wheels, and they will happily arrange local tours and excursions, too.

There is real care about how the hotel is maintained. It’s literally spotless, and the same courtesy is offered to guests. Nothing is too much trouble, and the staff are super polite and welcoming.

Rooms

For your accommodation, choose from Superior Rooms, Deluxe Rooms, Memoire Suites, and Family Suites. All the guest rooms are well equipped with a comfy bed, sofa and armchair, desk, a stocked minibar, and a balcony or terrace, and the ensuite bathrooms all have bathtubs as well as separate showers.

The rooms are all beautiful and luxurious, and the main advantage of upgrading is that you get more space to spread out and make yourself at home. It is worth noting that traveling families should definitely opt for the Family Suite as it includes both a master king-size bed and separate twin single beds.

Food & Drink

For dining, you have two main options at the hotel itself: the Artist Lounge and the Tamarind Restaurant. The Artist Lounge offers all-day dining and a relaxed, sociable atmosphere, and, of course, wonderful artworks adorn every surface! The Khmer-inspired Tamarind Restaurant serves scrumptious Khmer cuisine that is a fusion of the traditional and contemporary. There is always the option of Room Service if you fancy some extra privacy and don’t want to leave your balcony.
