We are huge fans of gorgeous Greece with its many islands and staggering beaches, plus it’s one of the best places in Europe for year-round sunshine. On your next trip to capital city of Athens, try something a little different with a unique way to explore the Greek coastline by taking the Athens Sea Kayak tour!
The tour takes places along the stunning coast of the Athenian Riviera. It takes you all the way from Athens itself to the Cape Sounio and the famous Temple of Poseidon.
About the Athens Sea Kayak Tour
The tour is the best sea kayaking activity you can take in the area. Not only does it give you the chance to tour along the beautiful Athenian coastline but you get to learn to kayak and enjoy water sports as you go! It’s water sports, sightseeing and having a huge amount of fun as a team all rolled into one lovely package! On the Tour
You are collected from your hotel and taken to a beautiful beach on the Attic peninsula where your tour begins.
This tour is fine for complete beginners as you receive an introductory lesson at the start as well as a safety briefing. Then, when you are all set and ready to put what you’ve learned into practise, you head off on your rowing adventure.
Cruise along the coast marvelling at the crystal-clear waters, epic cliffs and peering into hidden caves. Pause to stop at an islet for a refuelling snack and again on the beaches of Legrena to swim and snorkel in those inviting waters.
As the paddling part of your journey draws to a close you have the unique opportunity to approach the Temple of Poseidon by the sea just as ancient travellers used to. It’s quite an incredible view from the water and creates powerful, long-lasting memories. Leave your sea kayak on the beach and head to the Temple where you spend some time soaking up the beauty of this stunning archaeological site and hang around to catch the breathtaking sunset over the very waters that you have just rowed.
The finale to your tour is the chance to dine at a traditional Greek restaurant and tuck into delicious, authentic cuisine. As an accompaniment to your meal, you have sensational views across the sea and of the Temple of Poseidon, a wonderfully way to end a truly memorable day out.
