Book A Stay

The wild Scottish Highlands make for an epic, return-to-nature escape for the luxury traveller. Stunning countryside, picturesque villages and beautiful lochs will seduce you at first glance. Stay in the heart of the Highlands at the award-winning five-star Dunalastair Hotel Suites in Perthshire, Scotland for exceptional boutique accommodation and, of course, those heavenly surroundings.

Location

The hotel is nestled in the village square of Kinloch Rannoch, overlooking a river and waterfall on the edge of Loch Rannoch and at the foot of the Schiehallion Mountain. Kinloch Rannoch is a pretty village; peaceful and serene with picture-postcard views. You are a very pleasant two-hour drive from Edinburgh or you have the rather charming option of taking the sleeper train from London to Rannoch Station which is known as the most isolated railway station in the United Kingdom! The hotel will also collect you from the station in their first-class shuttle.

Style & Character

A recent multi-million-pound refurb has bought the historic grey stone-walled hotel bang up to date. It’s been subtly done to respect the period building but the interiors are now much more contemporary and luxurious with abstract art, designer lighting, velvet sofas and lots of on-trend greys.

Service & Facilities

Your surroundings give you some exciting options to fill your time. If your challenge is to really conquer the hills, mountains and lochs then try hiking, hill walking, off-road cycling or horse riding. To take things at a more leisurely pace, there is golf, fishing, birdwatching, visit a Scottish Castle, go on a Land Rover Safari Tour or simply take a peaceful stroll through the scenic countryside and get intimate with nature. When you return to the hotel, you can relax in the lounge overlooking the enclosed courtyard or there’s a conservatory and patio if the weather permits.
The hotel is privately owned and it feels like a family hotel with friendly, genuine and very helpful staff. They provide a host of services and little extras to make your stay as easy as possible: there’s a full concierge service, car and bike hire, a laundry service and your room includes a complimentary hospitality tray, bathrobes and slippers.

Rooms

Stay in one of the 32 beautiful Rooms and Suites. All are spacious and all have wonderful, varying views. A Suite upgrade is a must; travelling families will delight at the connecting Family Suites and discerning travellers will adore the quirky, huge Honeymoon Suite.

Food & Drink

Dine at the elegant restaurant Edina’s Kitchen. They serve a hearty breakfast, lunch, and, in the evenings, delicious Scottish dishes created with the very best local ingredients with a daily-changing menu. Sunday’s are a must, when a roast with all the trimmings is the order of the day. You can also order a packed lunch to make your expeditions even easier.
