LAX is finally getting a Centurion lounge. These airport lounges can be accessed by travelers holding the Platinum Card from American Express, and this new lounge will open in 2019.

Which Terminal Can I Find This Lounge?

The lounge will be located in the Tom Bradley International terminal, connected to American’s terminal 4. You can access terminal 5, which is also used by American Airlines. From there, you can walk inside security to terminal 6, then 7 and 8.

What will The Lounge Be Like?

The new lounge will be 13,693 ft², and offer a spa, family room, and showers in addition to a buffet and cocktails. It will have a tranquillity area “offering both brightly-lit and dimly-lit quiet areas to help global travelers adjust to new time zones as they travel internationally.” according to Gary from View From The Wing.

Food, alcohol and often spa treatments are complimentary. Access is also complimentary for travelers holding the Platinum Card from American Express and Centurion (Black Card) cardholders.

There are also American Express Centurion lounges currently open at Dallas Fort-Worth, Las Vegas, Miami, New York LaGuardia, San Francisco, Seattle, Houston, Philadelphia, and Hong Kong. We have already reviewed the Hong Kong Centurion Lounge (pictured above) which was hugely impressive! So expect great things from these Amex lounges at LAX and beyond.

Denver and New York JFK will also open equivalent lounges soon. These lounges are stylish and offer better food, drinks and extras than most US airline lounges, so this is good news for frequent flyers.
