British Airways is celebrating the impending royal wedding with a superb freebie. Any British Airways passenger flying out of Terminal 5 this Saturday, who is called Harry, Meghan or Megan, will be allowed to use the First Wing private security channel and the Galleries First lounge, whatever class they are travelling! This offer applies to everyone travelling with Harry or Meg(h)an too.
The catch, of course, is that you have to be named Harry or Meg(h)an and you have to be flying on Saturday 19th May!
If you are called Harry or Meg(h)an, surely this is the perfect excuse to book a last minute weekend break? A last-minute trip to the Royal Riviera hotel this weekend (fly into Nice, France) would be my top choice for your upgraded royal weekend and if you book any luxury hotel through our luxury travel concierge, you will also get royal treatment with free upgrades, free room credit, free breakfast and more…
What is the Galleries First Lounge like? Well, you are in luck as we have reviewed the Galleries First lounge in Terminal 5 and it’s pretty good!
If your name is not Harry, Meghan or Megan we can help you with some alternative tips for free flight upgrades which will get you into this lounge without paying for it.
Fly Away For Free
Of course my main tip is to play the credit card game. I usually book my British Airways flights for free on air miles and American Express Rewards which convert directly to Avios (along with other airline miles). The FREE Amex Gold Card is an incredible deal with a huge free bonus of Membership Rewards. You can apply for the US card right here. For the UK card, you will need to drop me an email for a referral to get extra referral bonus points.
If you are US based, you can also fly to Hawaii, Europe or further for free by taking out this alternative, excellent (free) credit card. Read more in our easy guide.
