In this trip report, I review my flight on Singapore Airlines Business Class Boeing 777-300ER, Beijing to Singapore. On a recent work trip, I found out that I had to get from Beijing to Singapore at the last minute. As a result, I was booked on the last direct flight out, which happened to be on Singapore Airlines.
Luckily for me, this midnight flight was quite comfortable. This flight was on a Boeing 777-300ER with a 1-2-1 business class configuration. I was seated on seat 11K, which was at the right side of the plane. This plane was a 4 class cabin configuration. There is one row of first-class, and the business class was split into 2 cabins. I was seated in the first row of business class, with the front cabin having only 3 rows of seats. The second cabin of business class has 9 rows of seats. In total, the plane has 4 first-class seats and 48 business class seats. There were also 28 seats of premium economy and 184 economy class seats.
The plane featured Singapore Airlines’ newer business class seats, which are quite similar to the new A350 ones. As usual, the seats were wide; 28 inches, and had a pitch of 55 inches. The seats could also be converted into a lie-flat bed.
I boarded the flight shortly before midnight. As usual, Singapore Airlines do not give out any amenity kits but provides some items in their bathrooms instead. The only things waiting for me on my seat were a pair of slippers, compression socks, noise-canceling headphones, and a large pillow.
The seat was wide and had an angled handrest on the right side. The handrest had a small storage compartment as well as the tray table. The menu and magazines were in a small thin compartment by the tray table. The remote control for the entertainment system was also by the handrest area. The seat controls were on the left side armrest.
On top of the handrest, there was a larger storage compartment that could fit my iPad. The reading light was also here, and underneath it were power sockets and USB sockets, which could be covered up for a clean, sleek look. In front of me was the large TV with Singapore Airlines’ entertainment system, Krisworld. Krisworld is a world-class system with many latest movies and TV series, as well as video, audio, and game options. Unfortunately, for this flight, I really did not use their entertainment system much, as I was prioritizing my sleep.
The plane took off shortly after midnight, and I immediately requested for my bed to be made. I was given a thin bedsheet, an extra pillow and a comfortable duvet, and fell asleep quite fast.
The 6-hour 15-minute flight went by quite fast, and I woke up when we were near Singapore. For this flight, there was the option to eat anytime throughout the flight, whether you wanted food shortly after takeoff, or before landing in Singapore.

Unfortunately, I woke up about 30 minutes before we were about to land, and by then, they were not serving meals anymore! All I managed to get was water.
With the window seat, I could admire the lights of the ships around Singapore shortly before we landed. I landed around 6:10 am in Singapore and was decently recharged and rested to begin another long day. As usual, Singapore Airlines was very comfortable, and definitely is the right way to do this route for a red-eye business flight!
