Iberia is launching a new long-haul A350 aircraft this summer with their new and improved Business Class seat (pictured above). Before the plane starts it’s long-haul flights, the new aircraft are going to be tested on the Heathrow to Madrid route.
From 20th July to 3rd August and from 17th August to 31st August, an A350 is due to fly IB3166 and IB3167. IB3167 (BA522 as a codeshare) leaves Heathrow at 18.50, landing in Madrid at 22.15. IB3166 (BA7058 as a codeshare) leaves Madrid at 15.55, landing in Heathrow at 17.20.
What is really great about this flight is that for 15,000 Avios + £45.30, you will get to try out the new Iberia flat-bed Business Class seat. The catch is, of course, that you will only be flying short haul in this seat. That said, you won’t find a cheaper way to fly in this much luxury this summer. You can read about what you might experience in my other Iberia Business Class flight reviews.
