I have flown with Etihad many times and have reviewed their long-haul flights in Business Class. My trip reports can be found below. I rate the Middle Eastern Carriers and have compared Emirates Vs. Etihad Vs. Qatar Airways to rank which is the best Airline in the Middle East. They all also feature in my top 10 best business class airlines in the world. You may also want to find out how to upgrade your next flight to Business Class for free<. Emirates Business Class is not noteworthy. Qatar probably has the best seats overall, but Etihad tends to have more thoughtful staff than Qatar, making it an equally good choice when flying via the Middle East. If the layover is important to you, I am also a fan of Etihad’s First Class Lounge & Spa in Abu Dhabi. Even if you are traveling in Economy or Business Class, you can pay to use this outstanding lounge.
What Shall I Do With The Etihad Guest Miles I Earn?
One disadvantage (at least to UK Flyers) is that, unlike Qatar, Etihad is not a British Airways partner, so you can’t credit the miles you earn to your BA Executive Club account.
If you credit your miles to Etihad Guest, you can redeem for cash via PointsPay, but the value is pretty poor at around 0.4p per mile. A slightly better option is to buy gift cards via Reward Shop. You can buy amazon.co.uk gift cards for around 0.45p per mile. Etihad also offers a family account here. You can combine the miles earned, which means it is easier to build up enough miles to use on an Etihad flight.
Possibly the best option is to credit your miles to SAS instead of Etihad. You can then quite easily redeem these miles across all of the Star Alliance airlines. Star Alliance airlines include Air Canada, Air China, Air India, Air New Zealand, ANA, Asiana Airlines, Austrian Airlines, Avianca, Brussels Airlines, Lufthansa, SAS, Singapore Airlines, South African Airways, Swiss International, TAP Portugal, Thai Airways, Turkish Airlines, and United.

Etihad Business Class Reviews
Review: Business Class Etihad Studio On Boeing 787 Dreamliner
In this trip report, I review my flight in Business Class or "Pearl Business" on Etihad Airways 787-900 Dreamliner in the "Business Etihad Studio" from Brisbane to Abu Dhabi. The Dreamliner replaces the Airbus A300 planes that used to connect this route via Singapore. We have published several trip reports about my recent flights with Etihad, in Business and First Class.
Review: Etihad A330 Business Class
In this review, I look at Etihad Airways Business Class product on the A330 from Hong Kong to Abu Dhabi. This was, in fact the first leg of a two-part Etihad journey which started in Hong Kong and ended in London Heathrow. You can also read our review of the Abu Dhabi to London Heathrow in Etihad Business Class on the A380. The Airbus for this flight was an Air Seychelles plane offering a slightly dated business class seat arrangement and cabin-staffed by Etihad.
Review: Etihad Business Class On The A380
In this review, I look at Etihad's Business Class product on the A380 from Abu Dhabi to London Heathrow. This was, in fact, the second leg of a two-part Etihad journey that started in Hong Kong. You can also read our review of the Hong Kong to Abu Dhabi in Etihad Business Class. You can read all my Etihad flight reviews in Business Class to get a clearer picture of the product. Etihad and Qatar are the best Middle Eastern airlines to fly on, with Emirates coming in third. To find out more read our comparison of Etihad Vs. Emirates Vs. Qatar Airways.
Review: Etihad A330 Business Class
In this trip report, I review a flight in Business Class or "Pearl Business" on Etihad Airways Airbus A330 from Brussels to Male (Maldives) via Abu Dhabi. Both flight legs were operated by an Airbus A330-200, which we have previously reviewed on a trip from Hong Kong to Abu Dhabi, although the previous "Etihad" flight was disappointingly on a dated Air Seychelles plane cabin-staffed by Etihad. Both flights in this review were thankfully on Etihad planes. Etihad has 26 A330-200s in its fleet, mainly used for medium-range flights to secondary European cities and Asian getaways.
Review: Etihad A380 Business Class London to Abu Dhabi
I recently had the pleasure of sampling Etihad’s Business Class, or Business Studio offering onboard the mighty A380 from London to Abu Dhabi. This route is familiar to me, having flown it on several occasions and having already tried the earlier Etihad Business Class on an A340, so I was very excited to be on the superjumbo this time around. Etihad calls their Business Class on the A380 ‘Business Studio’. This is located on the upper deck, along with ‘The Residence’ and First Class, which meant I turned right to find my seat.
