Book A Hotel

A key factor in choosing a once-in-a-lifetime honeymoon destination is the beach. Not only does your beach have to be one of the best in the world, but it must be secluded and not full of other tourists.

The five destinations we have picked below will give you the beach you dreamed of. A special patch of sand that you can share with your loved one, where you can paddle, swim, and snorkel under the warm sun. A beach you can savor and have more-or-less to yourself.

Maldives

It is very hard to write about the best places to go for a honeymoon without including the Maldives but bear with me as the resort I am suggesting is simply extraordinary. Soneva Jani (pictured above) is probably the most astonishing luxury hotel room in the world. If your idea of heaven is to flop into crystal clear waters straight from the top floor of your villa BY SLIDE, then this is the Hotel to choose in the Maldives!

Soneva Jani is located on the island of Medhufaru in the northern Atoll of Noonu, an hour-by speedboat from Soneva Fushi. It offers a huge 4 kilometers of unspoiled beach. This new resort showcases some of the most modern approaches to eco-tourism. For example, it boasts a silent outdoor cinema, where guests will listen to movies with Bluetooth earphones so as not to disturb the local wildlife. The resort also features 24 spacious villas, each with a private pool, as well as a private island villa for those who seek a truly exclusive retreat. Each water villa has a retractable roof in the master bedroom, allowing for fantastic stargazing without having to leave your bed. And of course, some of the villas even feature a huge water slide into the Indian Ocean.

Hawaii

Hawaii is where I went for my own Honeymoon. Beaches do not get better than the gems on these islands. Waikiki Beach on Oahu draws in the crowds, so it makes an interesting stop but should not be your final destination. For a more relaxing experience, go to Maui. The ‘Valley Isle’ has an interior of eucalyptus, pine, and bamboo forest and ridges, broken up by the odd violet patch of a lavender farm.

For complete seclusion, utter luxury, and the most private beach on these magical islands, head to the Four Seasons Lanai. This is one of my favorite hotels and beaches in the world and, being that it is on such a remote private island. This is the place to have a moonlit stroll along the beach at night. You will only have to share the shoreline with millions of stars.

The Seychelles

If beaches on the Seychelles are sheltered, fringed with coconut palms and golden sands. Head to private Denis Island, and you’ll find stretches of beach without a footprint in sight. On these beaches, as on others around the Seychelles’ islands, you may find sea turtles emerge by daylight to lay their eggs. This natural ritual occurs under the cover of darkness in other parts of the world, a testament to how quiet, undeveloped, and protected the Seychelles’ beaches are.

Our favorite hotel here is Six Senses Zil Pasyon, located on the north side of the private island of Félicité, which you can reach by helicopter from the International Airport. Félicité is one of the most dramatically beautiful isles in the Seychelles. Massive granite boulders that fringe the white sand beaches make this mesmerizing location as close to paradise as islands come.

Miles & Miles Of Unspoiled Beach In Nicaragua

Although Nicaragua is bordered by the Caribbean to the east, there are some unbelievable beaches that can be found on its Pacific coast to the west. Located on the Pacific coast of Nicaragua, Hacienda & Ecolodge Morgan’s Rock sits on the edge of a 4,000-acre expanse of Nicaraguan jungle and on the shores of the most idyllic golden sand beach. In this private protected reserve, you can enjoy this private beach bordered by unspoiled lush jungle, along with all its associated wildlife.

The mile-long stretch of sandy beach is great for surfing or bodyboarding during the day, strolls in the evenings and beach bonfires at night. The starlit beach is also the perfect place to witness baby turtle hatchlings scurrying out to sea – a truly unforgettable experience!

Da Nang Vietnam

Da Nang is a coastal city in central Vietnam known for its sandy beaches and history as a French colonial port. Although lacking in interesting sightseeing beyond strolling along the Han riverfront to take in its spectacular bridges and the vast China beach strip, it is well worth booking a night-time neon tour to see the city sparkle.

Stay on Son Tra Peninsula which rises 693m high above sea level. Here, you can visit Linh Ung Bai But pagoda with its huge Lady Buddha statue, which is one of the tallest in Vietnam. We are regulars at the Intercontinental Danang, located near the back of the Son Tra Peninsula. This stunning resort combines beach and rainforest, and you are scooted about in golf carts (largely due to the steep nature of the mountains). You will not find anywhere else in the world that is quite like this. It is bordered by a beautiful sandy beach, which is fantastic for relaxing, swimming, and honeymooning.
