Some of the most spectacular places in the world could also be your next vacation destination. These locations pristine and unspoilt, untamed…
The resorts we have selected offer the best of the best. An escape to a world that is truly “far from the madding crowd”. Of course, we are Luxury Travel Diary, so each retreat is far from civilisation but is also ultra-luxury.
I have been to the luxury wilderness lodge of the Sal Salis in Australia. Set in the dunes which border the beach and the Ningaloo reef, this is a resort that I hope to return to and share with my son. Red kangaroos graze amongst the dunes around the resort, humpback whales breach just beyond the reef, and you can swim with reef sharks and turtles just steps from the shoreline. There is nowhere like it.
Amangiri is also a favourite of mine in Utah in the United States. I am an Amanjunkie and am compelled to try all the Aman Hotels eventually. The level of luxury is something else and desert escapes don’t get better than this.
