Location

Le Mas de Pierre, which is part of the much respected Relais & Châteaux Network, lies tucked in the medieval village of Saint Paul de Vence. The village is one of the most beautiful in France and is a refuge for many artists; the hotel lay on a complimentary shuttle, which is very useful when you’re sampling the local wines. The convenient location means that you are close to Nice Côte d’Azur Airport and just 15 minutes from the waters of the French Riviera.

Style & Character

The former Provencal farmhouse is perfectly luxurious in that chic, relaxed way that only the French seem able to master; elegant décor, antique furnishings and a sea of pretty Provencal colours. Outside the surrounding gardens are almost as stunning as the interior; 5 acres of fountains, fragrant flowers, hundred-year-old olive trees, citrus fruit and an orchid greenhouse is set with meandering pathways so you can take your time strolling through and soaking it all up.

Service & Facilities

When you tire of exploring the French countryside (which of course you won’t but it’s always good to have options) you can relax by the outdoor heated musical pool; opt for an elegant private cabana and do it in style pausing only a request a sorbet from the poolside bar. To truly indulge, book a treatment at the luxury spa and for fitness fans, you can workout at the gym or take a yoga class. There’s also a Jacuzzi by the pool and a sauna, hammam and beauty salon at the spa so there’s much to occupy you.

The courteous staff treat you with respect and kindness and are happy to oblige even the more unusual requests.

The 54 individually furnished rooms, suites and apartments all enjoy balconies or terraces and charming private gardens. All the rooms have excellent amenities as you would expect with a luxury travel hotel of this calibre; particular highlights include the Bose Bluetooth stereo, the Nespresso machine and the Italian shower or bathtub.
