This week (13 January to be exact) a Pegasus Airlines flight from Ankara to Trabzon on the coast of the Black Sea in Turkey, veered off the runway as it landed and ended up halfway down a cliff.
It came to a stop just short of the sea. The plane was evacuated, and everyone got out safely. These twitter pictures show the precarious position of the plane:

It remains unclear whether the cause of this disaster was runway conditions, pilot error or failure of landing equipment.
