Where You Should Go In 2018: Airbnbs Official Trending Destinations

If you can’t decide where to travel to in 2018, why not check out where everyone else is heading. Perhaps they know something you don’t? Certainly, there are some insane deals for cheap travel to the sun in 2018. Whatever the reason for the popularity of these destinations, here is the official listing from Airbnb of the most popular places to explore in 2018.

Gangneung, South Korea comes in at position one, because next year’s Winter Games are being held there. Airbnb bookings have increased by 2175% in this region as a result. Bournemouth amused me as it is my neck of the woods. My guess here is that a boom in hen and stag groups has resulted in the seaside town up the road from me taking position two. Edmonton in Canada is also a surprise as Northern Canada is certainly not a sunshine destination.

See the list yourself to work out which destination is the most appealing.

Will I be enjoying the snow in Fernie, the Winter Games in Gangneung and the back of beyond in New Zealand? Absolutely not! This luxury traveller will be heading to the Monaco for Christmas, I will hit the slopes at Aurelio in Lech in February when the snow is soft and deep, and in the summer, it has to be the Grand Hotel Du Cap Ferrat, A Four Seasons Hotel on the Côte d’Azur. I also rather like dipping my toes in the Pacific at the Four Seasons on Lanai if I can fit that in too…
