Book A Stay

The Novotel Phuket Karon Beach Resort and Spa offers fabulous facilities and is perfectly placed to explore Phuket, the largest island in Thailand; located in Karon with its laid-back, relaxed vibe, you get the best of both worlds, a relaxing base, but you’re near enough to the action too.

Location

This Phuket Resort is very conveniently situated just a short stroll to Karon Beach, and the village of Karon is a lovely 10-minute walk away. You are a 10-minute drive from the buzz of Patong, and the hotel lays on free daily shuttles. Wat Chalong temple is 13km away, the ziplines at Flying Hanuman are 14km away, and Phuket International Airport is an hour’s drive.

Style & Character

The four-star hotel is contemporary in design, with sleek wood floors and fabulous splashes of blues and greens throughout.

Service & Facilities

There are three swimming pools, and each offers something a little unique; lush tropical gardens surround the Lagoon pool, and is the perfect pool to catch the sun and unwind. For a calmer, shadier spot, head to the Oasis Pool with its relaxing Jacuzzi, and if the children want to play, there’s a huge kid’s pool area with a waterslide and lots to keep them amused while you just soak up the sun and chill by the pool.

For a bit of extra luxury, reserve a cabana, too. They’ll really make your stay more memorable. To further ensure your total relaxation, book a spa treatment or massage at InBalance Spa. There’s also a fitness club with a range of classes. Choose from poolside yoga, aqua exercise, Thai boxing class, or walking on the water! The resort caters well to families; there’s a popular kid’s club, children-friendly menus at the restaurants, and a range of water sports equipment is available – basically, there’s never a dull moment, unless you want there to be, of course! The service is simply wonderful; the staff is helpful and friendly and do everything they can to make your stay unforgettable, with that lovely Thai hospitality.

Rooms

There are 7 different room types, every room has a balcony (request the higher floors for sea views) and of course a bathroom with a rainfall shower too. If you want a bit more space, then opt for a suite as they include living areas too. I’d definitely recommend a plunge pool, and they are available both with a room or a suite, but if you’re traveling with kids, the Deluxe Family Room is a must – it includes very cute bunk beds!

Food & Drink

There’s a choice of 3 restaurants and 2 bars at the resort. If you want an authentic Thai meal then head to the trendy TAI restaurant or for more international cuisine, with delicious pizzas and a themed buffet, try casual poolside dining at Joe Kool’s Grill. Breakfast is served at Horizon Café, and there’s lots of variety to set you up for the day. The Champions Sports Bar is great for an entertaining, sociable drink and also serves pub food, but the Swim Up Pool Bar is definitely my favourite! An absolute must is to have lunch here sat at the swim-up bar, with a cocktail accompaniment, of course!
