Which is the best airport lounge at London Heathrow Airport? We’ve reviewed most of the airport lounges at London Heathrow Airport Terminals 3 & 5. These include the British Airways Lounges because Terminal 5 is exclusive to British Airways. Our editors have flown with British Airways many times and elsewhere reviewed British Airways First Class flights and British Airways Business Class flights.
Which lounge is best? Well, it has to be the Concorde Room at Heathrow (pictured above) which offers iconic styling and a much more serene environment than the busy Galleries Lounges. The prize for the best Airport Lounges in the world does, however, probably go to Qatar Airways for its jaw-dropping Al Safwa First Class Lounge in Doha’s new Hamad International Airport.
The British Airways First Lounge in Heathrow Terminal 5 is also excellent, and you can access this lounge if you are an Emerald member or are traveling in First Class. If you are traveling in Economy Class, you can buy your way into the Aspire lounge in Terminal 5 or the Club Aspire lounge in Terminal 3. These are both good lounges. The Aspire lounge in Terminal 5 has its own Spa and shower (both paid).
There are two British Airways lounges in Terminal 3; the Galleries Club and Galleries First lounges. There are now many long-haul flights with First Class out of Terminal 3, so the Galleries First lounge is mainly used by Oneworld Emerald elites. This lounge is also open to First Class passengers flying on other Oneworld carriers.
The BA Galleries across these two Terminals, which are open to Club Europe and Club World passengers, are both good, but they are also enormous. The array of food, along with papers and magazines, is enough to fill your stomach and brain, but do not expect personal service in these lounges. These lounges are simply too large.
The Virgin Clubhouse Lounge in Terminal 3 is also a great lounge and more fun than the BA lounges.

Review of The Concorde Room Terminal 5
British Airways has four Club Lounges in London Heathrow Terminal 5. The most accessible are the Galleries Club South and Galleries Club North lounges, open to First or Club class passengers (including Club Europe) and Gold or Silver members of BA's Executive Club. The next step up is the Galleries First lounge, for First class passengers and Gold Executive Club members. The Concorde room is the epitome of elegance and the pinnacle of Club Lounges at Heathrow Terminal 5.
Review: British Airways Galleries First Lounge Terminal 5
The British Airways Galleries First Lounge in London Heathrow Terminal 5 is spacious, embraces the daylight, and has a lot of food on display: a fresh soup bar, hot and cold entrees, lots of snacks, full coffee stations with all sorts of cappuccino, and lattes, and a vast selection of wines, beers, and spirits.
Review: Singapore Airlines SilverKris First Class Lounge, London Heathrow Airport
Singapore Airlines flies out of London Heathrow Terminal 2 as opposed to British Airways, which has a British Airways Exclusive Terminal, Terminal 5. In Terminal 2, or the Queen's Terminal, you will find the excellent Singapore Airlines SQ First Class lounge. United Airport Lounge Review At London Heathrow Queens Terminal
If you fly out of London's Heathrow Airport on United, you should get access to the Queens Terminal United Airport Lounge. This lounge is simply stunning and is located in the new Queens Terminal at London Heathrow. This new version of Terminal 2, now known as the Queens Terminal, offers some really great new lounges. Of course, this particular lounge does get packed just before a bunch of United flights are about to leave to various destinations in America, but it is stunning in design and the food and drink offering is impressive.
Review: British Airways Galleries South Lounge Heathrow Terminal 5
I used the British Airways Galleries Club South Lounge in Heathrow Terminal 5 in April 2023 when my family and I flew out of Terminal 5 in British Airways Club Europe. This in our opinion, is the best Business Class lounge in Terminal 5. It’s worth mentioning the changes to this lounge since COVID-19. Straight after COVID-19 restrictions were lifted, this lounge was horribly busy, but I am pleased to report that this lounge is now much quieter, and you can now find seats without too much problem.
Review: British Airways Galleries North Lounge Terminal 5
Terminal 5 deals exclusively with British Airways flights, and the only way you can gain access to the British Airways Airport lounges in London Heathrow Terminal 5 is by buying or upgrading your ticket to Club Europe, Club World or First Class or being a silver or gold tier member of the British Airways air mile club. High-tier members of OneWorld Alliance members can also access some of these airport lounges.
Review: Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse, London Heathrow
The Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse at London Heathrow Terminal 3 has the reputation of being one of the best Airport Lounges in the world, so I couldn't resist giving it a try on my last trip out of Heathrow to San Fransisco in Virgin Upper Class. Virgin has done well with this lounge. It is reached via a lift with a sofa in it (what fun!), and although it is not intimate, chic, or exclusive, it is the most futuristic and colorful lounge I have experienced.
Review: British Airways Galleries Club Lounge Terminal 3
We reviewed the British Airways Galleries Club Lounge in Heathrow Terminal 3 before my recent flight on Japan Airlines in Business Class from London Heathrow to Tokyo. JAL does not have its own airport lounge in Terminal 3, so it shares access to the British Airways Galleries Club Lounge. British Airways offers this lounge to travelers on British Airways flights departing from Terminal 3 with destinations including Denver, Cape Town, Phoenix, and Vancouver. However, most British Airways flights depart from Terminal 5.
Review: Aspire Lounge, Heathrow Terminal 5

You can now pay for, (or use your Priority Pass to), access the Aspire airport lounge in London Heathrow Terminal 5. Club Aspire Lounge Heathrow Terminal 3
