Book A Hotel

In this article, we review the top 3 best luxury resorts in Buenos Aires, one of the world’s most stylish and cosmopolitan cities. These include the Park Hyatt Buenos Aires which blends the 1930’s charm of the French Palace Duhau with contemporary design and décor, the classic Alvear Palace and the Art Deco Sofitel. All three are exceptional, see why below!

Park Hyatt Buenos Aires

f
Park Hyatt Buenos Aires (pictured above) is situated in a residential neighbourhood surrounded by luxury boutiques and in the heart of the French heritage district of Recoleta. It’s location, on a historic street, is just a stone’s throw from MALBA (The Latin American Art Museum of Buenos Aires) and Puerto Madero.

The hotel is an integral part of Palacio Duhau and is often described as the most beautiful hotel in Buenos Aries. This handsome building stands out even amongst many others in the Recoleta district which is literally stuffed full of palaces.

The interior is elegant, but comfortable, with a range of public rooms of different sizes and styles and unusually, an underground corridor linking the two buildings (very welcome in rainy weather). All rooms are stylish and furnishings complement the building’s history. Everywhere is well-maintained and fresh and impressive modern art is dotted throughout.

Impeccable rooms are also located in this historic building set amidst peaceful and lush gardens. A stay at the Park Hyatt Buenos Aires may well be your best hotel experience in Argentina.

Alvear Palace

The elegant Alvear Palace hotel, like the Park Hyatt, is located in the tree-lined Recoleta neighbourhood of Buenos Aires. It offers high ceilings, beautiful views and chandeliers which have sparkled since its opening in 1932. It still offers traditional luxury although we prefer the modern and clean look of the Park Hyatt above.

Sofitel Buenos Aires

This hotel is not as glamorous as the other luxury hotels in this article. It is, however, a solid 5-star hotel choice in Buenos Aires. Once again it is located in the Recoleta neighbourhood and is surrounded world-class art galleries and stunning architecture. The hotel itself is inside one of the first skyscraper apartment blocks in the city. The style is Art Deco and it is a great deal more luxurious than your average Sofitel. The lobby is marble with enormous plants and golden chandeliers, rooms all have views over the Río de la Plata or the city and there is a small indoor pool for relaxation.
