Looking to escape the madding crowd? Somewhere different to relax and rejuvenate? A place to rekindle your zest for life?
Peace of Eden, located in an area of outstanding natural beauty in the Bohemian Paradise region of the Czech Republic, offers holidaymakers ample opportunity to explore nature and history at its’ finest.
This year-round destination offers fresh attractions for every season. Walking trails weave through the ancient forests and rock towns which intrigue with their towering sandstone formations. Tranquil lakes beckon swimmers in the warmer months, and meandering rivers are nature’s playground for kayaking and canoeing enthusiasts. For the adrenaline junkies, abseiling and mountain climbing will be certain to get the juices flowing. And in the winter chill, there are local slopes for skiing and tobogganing or ski resorts approximately 1½ hours drive away for a more comprehensive ski experience. The landscape is dotted with fairy-tale castles and historic houses some of which have featured in films. Day trips to Prague (45 minutes drive) or Dresden (2 ½ hours-drive) will delight visitors with Christmas markets and city surprises. Fresh, authentic cuisine at affordable prices gives the chance to try some Czech specialities, accompanied of course, by local beer or wine.
Peace of Eden is an 1 ½ hour drive from Vaclav Havel Airport (previously known as Prague International Airport). It sleeps 8 in 4 bedrooms. There are two spacious main bedroom suites, each with access to their own full en-suite bathroom. This makes it perfect for two families to share or for treating the extended family to a holiday with you. There are also two twin rooms with access to a large family bathroom. Downstairs, you will find a fully equipped kitchen diner, ideal for catching up over tantalising meals. The cosy living room with a log burner and striking vaulted ceiling is a wonderful sanctuary in which to relax at the end of the day. There are family games, a DVD, CD player and Wi-Fi access to add to the entertainment. Outdoors in the 3 ½ acre meadow garden, you can challenge the others to a game of table tennis or enjoy bouncing on the trampoline. After all that activity, why not cook something delicious on the Weber barbeque and raise a glass to life in the outdoors?
