Airlines tend to cash-in on their US-Hawaii routes, but with United’s most recent flight route announcements with 11 more routes to the central Pacific islands being launched from December, competition is increasing in this market, and ticket prices should, as a result, become cheaper.

The expansion will go into effect later this year on December 20, and one can expect that United’s extra flights will make Hawaiian air and other similar airlines, drop their fares to make them more competitive, making flights to Hawaii cheaper.

If you fancy a trip to these magical islands, we recommend staying in the Four Seasons Lanai (pictured above) and Four Seasons at Wailea, Maui which are some of our favourite hotels in the world.

United have recently launched their new United Polaris Business Class Service which we have reviewed and which is a huge improvement on their previous Business Class offering.
