Norwegian Airlines has been offering some incredible prices over the last few months. I have already written about how you could fly to Europe Norwegian for $99 and the airline is continuing it’s price slashing frenzy into the Fall. It is one of the cheapest transatlantic airlines flying to Europe.
Norwegian now has winter flights to Rome from Newark, Oakland, and Los Angeles, available from December through March 2018. If you’re flying from the east coast, the airline can get you across the Atlantic for $190 (one way) and $360 (round-trip). Flights from the west coast will run about $420 round-trip.
Fly into Bergen in Norway, Shannon & Dublin in Ireland, Edinburgh and Belfast (Northern Ireland) and it is even cheaper with fares from just $99 from Providence and Boston. The Oakland, San Francisco to London Gatwick route is $159
There are other carriers that also offer cheap flights to Europe such as WOW Air but they have put the budget in budget with base fares not even allowing hand luggage!
Norwegian has the advantage of offering direct flights into London instead of flying via a hub like Iceland. The carrier is also making a name for itself with it’s excellent Norwegian Premium Economy seats which are similar to Domestic First seats within America.
Remember to take a packed lunch in Economy class, and keep an eye on your baggage allowance, but if you travel light, these fares are a steal!
Check out the fares before they sell out on Norwegian Airlines.
I have flown Norwegian and was very impressed by their new planes and competent pilots. You can also read my review of Norwegian Airlines short-haul. If you insist on flying on an American carrier, find out which American Airline in Business Class is best.
