We love the new United Polaris Business Class Seats. They are a massive improvement on United’s previous Business Class offering. United Airlines is already flying its B787 Dreamliner to Hong Kong and Tel Aviv. In August, this new plane will be deployed on the San Francisco-Taipei route, and in September, you will be able to fly in the new Polaris seat on United’s daily San Francisco-Beijing route.

Most interesting for us Europeans is that United will be flying its B787-9 Dreamliner between San Francisco and Frankfurt on flight numbers UA58/UA59 from 5th October. This is the first route from Europe, which will be using United’s new plane.

The Dreamliner will also be added to United’s New York Newark-Tokyo Narita route later in October 2017.

United Airlines has transformed its existing Business First product into the brand new United Polaris Pod concept named after the brightest star in the Ursa Minor constellation. You can read our flight review of United Polaris Business Class and you can see new Polaris seat pictures in the scroller above.

There will be a brand new international business class seat (pictured) made up of a United Polaris forward-facing pod. The seats can be converted into 180-degree fully-flat beds measuring six foot six inches. The Polaris pods will be arranged in a 1-2-1 configuration, ensuring direct aisle access for all customers.
