Once the Royal York Hotel, it first opened its doors in 1878 and the architecture stands as a testament to one of Britain’s finest Victorian railway hotels. Inside, it has undergone extensive refurbishment and now combines the elegant style of its 19th-century origins with all the modern comforts you would expect from a luxury establishment. In fact, it has recently been presented with the Gold Award for Hospitality Interior Design at the London Design Awards 2016.
