Book A Stay

Sometimes you just know a place is that little bit special from the very first glance and that’s certainly true with The First Luxury Art Hotel, Rome. The elegant hotel gives a very good impression of what it would be like to live in a private art gallery; it all starts with a warm welcome and an Italian coffee and continues in that vein throughout your entire stay.

The Five-Star The First Luxury Art Hotel set in the very heart of the historic centre of Rome, nestled in a quiet street, just a short walk from the Piazza del Popolo, Via del Corso, and The Spanish Steps. You really couldn’t find a better base from which to explore the hypnotic capital. It couldn’t be easier to reach the hotel either; you are 5 minutes’ walk from the nearest metro station, a 12-minute drive to Termini Train Station, 50-minutes to the main airport Fiumicino-Leonardo da Vinci and 30-minutes to the secondary airport, Ciampino

Style & Character

The hotel is situated in a 19th-century nobleman’s palace and home and is refined, contemporary and classy throughout; yet despite the formality, there is a homely touch too which gives you a home-from-home feeling and makes you feel very welcome. Art is a huge part of the hotel and they showcase more than 150 contemporary artworks, with both permanent and temporary exhibits sitting very nicely among the designer furnishings. There is currently a dynamic exhibition of young artists and masters of the twentieth century curated by Galleria Mucciaccia.

Rooms

Your hosts like to call it “bedding down in an art gallery” and this lovely phrase is very appropriate. The rooms and suites are suitably adorned with artworks; each suite is exclusively curated by an Italian contemporary artist, but they are also packed with bookcases which add that homeliness feel to the luxurious rooms. The Jacuzzi Suites are a must, pick one with a view and you’ll benefit from a panoramic private terrace equipped with lounge chairs; surely the place to relax after a busy day exploring, with a glass of prosecco and all the time in the world to gaze over the rooftops of Rome.

If you can drag your eyes away from the artworks, then instead make your way to the panoramic Rooftop Bar and Restaurant and feast them on the wonderful views of the magnificent city of Rome. Back inside and back among the art, the stunning Michelin Star Acquolina Restaurant serves exquisite gourmet seafood cuisine, accompanied by Mediterranean flavours and fine wines. After dinner, make your way to the sanctuary of the Lounge Bar, relax with a cocktail, soft music and even more stunning artworks.
