Name: Olhumathi View Inn
Surely on everyone’s wish list is a trip to the tropical island nation of the Maldives; the powdery white sand beaches, lush green tropical palm trees and amazing underwater wildlife are incredibly tempting. Although the islands have an air of exclusivity, it needn’t be a once in a lifetime trip cost-wise with a stay at the Olhumathi View Inn.
The Olhumathi View Inn lies right next to the bikini beach on the beautiful small island of Ukulhas. The island is ideally situated close to Ibrahim Nasir Airport and capital city Male, the island also boasts one of the finest beaches, Ari Atoll. The Maldives is an island nation with more than 2,000 islands scattered across Equator in the Indian Archipelago, the average temperature is a blissful 30 Degree Celsius. Connecting flights from London to Male International Airport (also known as Ibrahim Nasir Airport) take a little over 12 hours, for your transfer from Male you can either take a 60-minute speedboat ride, a 4-hour public ferry ride or arrive in style with a seaplane air taxi service which takes just 20 minutes.
Style & Character
The décor uses warm shades and contemporary furnishings with an added touch of Maldivian style. The rooms are basic but comfortable, but it’s the lure of the wonderful beach outside that really makes this place special.
Service & Facilities
Facilities at the Inn include a restaurant, private beach area, water sports facilities, evening entertainment, beautiful gardens, complementary parking on-site and free Wi-Fi. Sunbeds, sun umbrellas and beach towels are provided and your hosts are happy to arrange activities for their guests such as fishing, manta ray snorkelling and sandbank trips.
The room facilities include air-conditioning, flatscreen LCD TV with satellite channels, safe, minibar, tea and coffee facilities, complimentary bottled water, slippers and ensuites, but most importantly, the beach lies less than a minute’s walk from your room! It may not be the most luxurious room that you’ve ever stayed in but it’s clean, has all the facilities that you’ll need and the Family Rooms are huge, big enough for 4 adults and a child. Plus, it’s life outside of your room that you’ve really come to the Maldives to experience and the lure of that beach is strong! If you’re travelling as a couple the Deluxe Room would be more than adequate, the facilities are similar across the rooms and it includes a queen-sized bed.
