If you are looking for a luxury hotel near Gare du Nord in Paris, I have the perfect place! Nestled between Gare du Nord and Gare de l’Est, the recently renovated and just re-opened, Hôtel Whistler, is an unforgettable boutique hotel in the heart of the 10th arrondissement of Paris.
Location
Located a few steps from Gare du Nord, this hotel is perfect if you are arriving in Paris by train or Eurostar. Gare du Nord & Gare de l’Est In Paris are just steps from each other and this boutique hotel is sandwiched in between. it simply couldn’t be more convenient!
Style & Character
Hotel Whistler offers whimsical railway themed decor which takes you on a journey aboard a fabulous imaginary train. The classy leather and wood lobby was created by designer Sandrine Alouf and is both atmospheric and seems to take you back to a time when Agatha Christie’s Poirot travelled in luxury on the Orient Express.
Service & Facilities
Possibly one of my favourite features of this hotel is the wooden engine that seems to chug around the ceiling of the lobby and bar- magic. There is an also a steam room in the hotel to enable you to unwind.
Rooms
The 31 rooms also offer the voyage-themed decoration; furnishings made out of trunks, storage racks above the bed which seem to come straight out of the “Harry Potter” carriages and a retro 50’s turquoise and gold colour scheme invites you to relax and daydream about trips aboard the Orient Express, Trans-Siberian or Blue Train.
Food & Drink
Breakfast at Hotel Whistler is buffet style. There is also an honesty bar in the lobby and bar area where you can enjoy a beer or a glass of wine underneath the aforementioned wooden ceiling train line.
