When looking for a night out, why not something totally unique and dine at a fabulous pop-up restaurant! Often operating from unusual locations and offering a themed or unusual menu, they are totally on trend and are known for bringing groups of people together to enjoy a night out.

A series of up and coming events entitled “This is English @ Stepney City Farm” are excellent examples of the pop-up format. Run by VINtwined and held at Stepney City Farm in Whitechapel, London, the night includes a 4-Course English Wine and Food menu.

English wine is very popular right now, and for good reason too; there is some cracking stuff to be found, right on our doorstep. VINtwined founder, Neil Deacon, has been out exploring vineyards across the UK to hunt down the best and importantly, the most culinary inspiring wines that the country has to offer. The night promises the ultimate tasting experience, with four English wines complimented by locally produced English cuisine. The wines include both still and sparkling varieties and a menu crafted by top chef, James Welch includes some amazing taste sensations.

Neil Deacon, founder, VINtwined comments: “The English wine scene is really exciting at the moment. I think the rise in quality in English wines is largely owed to the collegiate spirit of the industry, through sharing practices in viticulture and vinification, the producers have raised the bar together.”

VINtwined is a new company who create wine-led dining events. They use a unique approach to designing their pop-up menus; traditionally, the focus is on first choosing the food and adding the wines later, but at VINtwined they start with the wines and then select the exact food combinations to perfectly inspire and compliment. This approach really values the wine choice, something I wholeheartedly agree with! The wines that are used are chosen to highlight the quality and diversity of their region, while also ensuring that they offer culinary inspiration. Other social dining events from VINtwined popping up across London this year, look out for the champagne-inspired night.

For a fantastic evening filled with wine, culinary delights and lots fascinating wine chat from passionate wine connoisseur Neil, book your seat at This is English @ Stepney City Farm!
