Point Woronzof Park is a municipal park in Anchorage, Alaska and a beach runs the length of this popular park. What makes this park weird is the statues which you will find, created by the “100 Stone Project” as a memorial art service held for Point Woronzof homicide victims. The original art instillation, which included 80 statues, was damaged by tides and high winds on the beach in Alaska’s largest city, but in late 2016, 43 of these creepy statues were restored and returned.

The park is also excellent for backcountry skiing or snowshoeing in the winter, and biking or running in the summer. Runnerclick are an ideal shop for running shoes if you head down to this rather strange park and beach.
