I love to fall asleep to the sound of the waves lapping on the shore. I love to wake up and take a dip in the sea before breakfast, but realistically, I only manage this if my room is just steps from the shoreline.
I can name a million oceanfront resorts, but once you have put on your dressing gown, walked down the corridor, via the lift, walked through the reception and past the pool to finally get to the beach. I simply can’t be bothered – at least not before breakfast.
There are, however a number of very special luxury resorts that offer oceanfront rooms that are right on the shoreline and truly are just a couple of steps from the sea.
