United Airlines recently introduced their new Polaris Business Class Seat, but how do you know if the flight you book will be in a new Polaris seat?
United has already launched the United Polaris soft product. I have reviewed the current United Polaris First Class and United Polaris Business Class seat and product (new amenities but same old seat).
For the hard product, (ie the new seat!); United will start featuring their new Polaris business class seat when it starts flying its new Boeing 777-300ER this month (january). Initially it will run between EWR and SFO, and then the SFO to HKG route. For now, the 777-300ER will be the only plane offering the new Polaris Business Seat. The new Polaris seat will eventually be added to the United 787-10, A350-1000, 777-200 and 767-300.
So in conclusion, you will get the new hard product (ie the new seat) if you fly on the 777-300ER starting with the SFO to HK routing but then branching out to other routes. If you are travelling on any planes that are not the 777-300ER, you get the older seat. I have reviewed the new United Polaris Business Class Seat.
