As the winter starts to drag on it’s definitely the time to turn our attention to sunnier climates and paradise beaches; a remote spot with gorgeous views gets my imagination going and that’s exactly what you get with a stay at the Lexington Klapa Resort in Bali, Indonesia. Perfectly situated a few steps from the beautiful Dreamland Beach, next to the New Kuta Golf Course and set within the Pecatu Indah Resort complex. It is near many attractions including sacred Uluwatu Temple, iconic Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) Cultural Park, and exotic beaches like Padang-Padang from Julia Robert’s movie “Eat, Pray, Love” ; Bingin, Suluban, and Balangan Beach for you to catch some waves & the sun. Flights from London to Bali Ngurah Rai International Airport (also known as Denpasar Airport) take just over 17 hours with a connection. The route is served by several airlines, includes Singapore Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Qatar Airways, Emirates and Cathay Pacific. The resort is then just a 40-minute drive from the airport.
There is a contemporary, Mediterranean feel throughout the 5-star resort. The views are breath-taking from the cliff top vantage point and are especially magical at sunset. The interior design is sophisticated and classy with a subtle, earthy colour palate. Facilities include a Golf Terrace restaurant, a stunning rooftop swimming pool which is side to side with a rooftop bar facing Indian Ocean as view, and direct beach access to Dreamland Beach.
The 60 m2 spacious rooms have either a balcony or terrace offering views of the ocean or the golf course. All rooms enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi, minibar, coffeemaker and a 42-inch flat panel TV with international and local cable channels. There is also a seating area with a sofa and an oversized bathroom.
Restaurants & Bars
For your dining options, there are two main resort restaurants: the Golf Terrace Restaurant which serves delicious Indonesia and Western cuisine throughout the day and the newly built “Del Mar” Seafood Grill & Rooftop Bar which serves international cuisine at both lunch and dinner. In-room dining is also available. If you wish to explore locally, Jimbaran Beach is just a 20-minute drive away which is lined with fresh seafood dining options and the resort are happy to recommend alternatives in the area too. For those who loves to have sunset session or party, don’t forget to check on some happening beach club around the area such as El Kabron, Single Finn, and Klapa New Kuta beach club that can be reached within minutes away.
Pool & Activities
The rooftop pool is beautiful with magnificent views of the Indian Ocean and is surrounded by some of the most stylish sun loungers I’ve ever seen! And it would be hard to be any closer to Dreamland Beach thanks to it’s direct beach access. Dreamland Beach has white sands stretching for 100 metres along the coast. In just a 5-minute stroll across Lexington Klapa Resort, you can enjoy your time at the Klapa New Kuta Beach Club. The club is definitely worth a visit, with its huge infinity pool facing the Indian Ocean and restaurant and bar. By night, the Klapa New Kuta Beach Club comes alive and is the place to be. Of course, if you are a golfer, you’re in paradise as you may feel like staying on the course itself since the resort has golf course view served just in front of your room. You’re so close! A 5-minute drive away is the New Kuta Golf. In the local area, you’ll find the sacred Uluwatu Temple and the unique Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park with breath-taking monuments and artworks; both are just a 15-minute drive away. Not forget to mention, if you love surfing or get tanned under the sun, you can also explore exotic beaches nearby such as Balangan, Padang-Padang from the movie “Eat, Pray, Love”, Bingin, and Suluban Beach. All beaches has perfect waves & great view.
