Virgin Atlantic has launched some cheap Upper Class fares from Manchester to Boston this summer. Just £999.62 return.

This is a great way to earn Virgin tier points cheaply and to fly to the US in Business Class. Even if you are London based, the train trip up to Manchester is just acouple of hours.

The £999.62 price is widely available as long as you book at least 4 months (120 days) ahead and stay for at least 3 days. Usefully, Virgin lets you search for the cheapest combination of dates over a 1 week or 5 week period.

If collecting tier points is the aim of the trip, it is worth using the booking engine to search for I class fares. For a few more hundred pounds, I class fares qualify for a car transfer at both ends and you get double tier points (200 each way) over the low Z class fares (100 each way). This is a cheap way to bag Virgin Silver Tier with one return ticket, or 40% of the Gold Tier.

Book this deal by by 7th February. This fare ia also valid on Delta where Delta flies the route.
