The Emirates First Class lounge in Dubai was previously only accessible to passengers who traveled in First Class. You can now buy your way in. We have reviewed the Emirates Business lounge at Dubai airport. We’ve also reviewed the Emirates First Class lounge in Concourse A at Dubai Airport. These are both excellent lounges.

Emirates Skywards members can now pay to access these impressive lounges, even if you are traveling in economy.

And how much does lounge access cost? Skywards Blue members can pay $100 USD to access the Business Class Lounge or $200 USD for the First Class Lounge. Skywards Silver and Gold members can bring guests who are on the same flight to the Business Class Lounge for $100 USD or the First Class Lounge for $200 USD. An upgrade from Business Class Lounge to First Class Lounge costs $100 USD. Children aged 2-12 get a 50% discount on these prices

Is it worth upgrading from the Emirates Business to First Class lounge at Dubai International Airport for $100 USD? In my opinion, no. The Emirates First Class lounge in Dubai IS better than the Business lounge; large and comes with a nice and complimentary a la carte restaurant – you can see photos of what is on offer in my lounge review. But the Business Class lounge is so huge that you will have no problems in finding a quiet spot in this lower-grade Business lounge. While I was there, many of the seats were empty, and the lounge felt incredibly spacious.

The food is not a la carte in the Business lounge but is plentiful and of excellent quality, available from various (warm and cold) buffet stations, as is Moët and Chandon Champagne. The shower rooms are also really good here and ideal for a wash between flights.

Is it worth paying $100 USD to access the Business Class Lounge at Dubai International Airport if you are traveling in Economy? In my opinion, yes, these are excellent lounges, and assuming you would buy a meal and a drink in the main terminal, you will recoup much of the cost anyway. Certainly, I find lounges reduce the headache I usually experience from the stress of traveling through airport terminals.

Emirates is an excellent airline and features in top 10 best business class airlines in the world. We’ve also compared Emirates, Etihad and Qatar in Business Class and the Emirates and Etihad First Class Suites.
