Nomm Restaurant, Asian Fusion In The Heart Of Barcelona

News

Barcelona has long been known as the cosmopolitan capital of Spain’s Catalonia region, packed with fine art, stunning architecture and excellent cuisine and with just a 2 hour flight from London, there’s never been a better time to visit. Some of the city’s sights to see include Museu Picasso, Fundació Joan Miró, the Sagrada Família Church and other modernist landmarks designed by Antoni Gaudí which are dotted around the city. I however must admit that it’s the excellent hospitality and dining available within this beautiful city captures my taste buds every time and I’m delighted to bring you a new hidden gem that I’ve just discovered: Nomm.

Nomm Restaurant, Barcelona
Nomm is a little gem of an Asian Mediterranean Fusion Restaurant on Avenue del ParaI-lel. As well as the exquisitely presented and delicious dishes that they serve, it also offers friendly staff, a great atmosphere and an incredible selection of delicious cocktails created for you by their mixologists. If you’re wondering what the name means, the team define a ‘Nomm’ as “an expression of good taste and lip-smacking satisfaction” and you certainly won’t be short of nomm’s with their twist on sumptuous dishes like: Wagyu “Jiaozi” Dumplings , Ceviche, Ensalada de Quinoa, Piri-Piri Chicken, Octopus, Steak, Garlic Prawns and their array of delicious desserts. The menu changes seasonally and introduces dishes from around the world in their traditional form with a contemporary twist. The dumplings taste as they do in China, Thai food is as spicy and flavourful as it would be on the streets of Bangkok and their octopus is as fresh and as succulent as you would expect to encounter on the Atlantic Coast!

At Nomm, the team believe food means so much more than just taste – it’s an emotional journey that evokes memories and should challenge every guest. They believe food is an expression of who we are and where we come from and through cooking and eating we can share our passion and creativity with others. Dining at Nomm gives you a culinary experience that will take you to all four corners of the globe, capturing the essence of world cuisine from China to South East Asia and Europe to South America and to add to your dining experience, Nomm is also the first restaurant in Barcelona to have an optional “shared table experience”, where diners can rub shoulders with fellow foodophiles while sampling a palate widening series of creative dishes.

And if the food isn’t enough to tempt you then you simply must try one of their innovatively blended and supercharged cocktail aperitifs all mixed up by their bartender and mixologist. Nomm is part of the World class embassy and sure to make a cocktail to impress. However, if cocktails aren’t your thing, rest assured there is also a high-quality wine and champagne menu for you to peruse.

The Nomm Team comprises of Peter Vivant, a restaurateur from Australia and one of the top hosts on Eatwith.com, and Nuno Costa, the Executive Chef, with over 10 years of experience and who has previously worked for Michelin star restaurant Marques De Riscal with Ramon Piñero as well as Restaurante Coure, Gregans Castle Hotel and Valle Flor Lisbon.

Open Tuesday to Sunday from 5pm until the wee small hours, Nomm is the perfect destination to while away the hours in Barcelona surrounded by good company, delicious drinks and some seriously great cuisine.
