Alinghi Beach House, Queensland
“Alinghi” is an amazing & unique designer beach pad, hanging out over the ocean (& is the property pictured in this article). Set in 14 acres of pristine Australian bush land, it nestles into the cliff, giving it a sense of total privacy. The views are jaw-dropping and the only sound is that of the waves crashing onto the rocks below.
This iconic glass & cedar palace is located on an exclusive & secure Estate with direct beach access – there are only 5 other houses. Just a few kms south of the Town of 1770& Agnes Water on Queensland’s Capricorn Coast, it is at the southernmost tip of the Great Barrier Reef. The house & surrounding national park are absolutely stunning.
The house comprises 2 elements – the Main House & the Bedroom Pavilion, which are situated around the central ‘Platform’, a huge stone terrace overhanging the ocean. The view is mesmerising and the sound of the crashing waves is almost hypnotic. The doors in the bedrooms all open up completely so that you are lulled to sleep by the sound of the ocean and woken by the spectacular sunrises.
Pavana Villa, Koh Samui
Located in Laem Sor bay, one of the most beautiful travel destinations on the southern coast of Koh Samui, Thailand, the stunning Pavana Villa can easily accommodate up to twelve people, making it an ideal choice if you’re travelling with family or friends. Tucked away from busy tourist areas and fringed with coconut plantations, Laem Sor offers powdery white sands, sparkling turquoise waters and spectacular views across to the neighbouring islands of Koh Tan and sunsets over the mainland.

Villa Tosca, Bordeaux
Nestled in the tranquil bay of Arcachon, on the edge of the shore and backing onto lush pine forests, the luxury Villa La Tosca which serves as both a boutique hotel (you can book just one room) or can be rented out in its entirety if you have enough family and friends to fill its 9 bedrooms. Nearby you will find Cap Ferret, a chic, laid-back seaside town which is popular with French VIPs and celebrities, and great fun to explore on bikes.
The Villa itself is a mix of sumptuous and restored features, beautiful interiors, stunning garden and gorgeous eco-pool. Possibly my favourite room is La Vue, a 35 m² room on both the 2nd and 3rd floor and offering 360 degree sea and pine tree views. At the end of the garden you step through the gate and have direct access to a beautiful beach.
As you would expect, there is an extensive wine list at the Villa which regularly revolves and features wines of the world-renowned Bordeaux Wine Region such as Margaux, St Emilion,Pessac Leognan, Medoc…There are few more inspiring places to enjoy a tipple than on the terrace at Villa La Tosca while the sun dips behind the sea.
Oke Beach House
Located in Bay of Islands in the Far North District of New Zealand, the house is perched overlooking Hauai Bay with easy access to two semi-private beaches: Hauai and Oke Bays. The home is large enough for four families and contains six bedrooms, which is ideal for a small family reunion or wedding party. The glass sliding doors that span throughout the house create a window in to paradise. It is outside living at its finest with its modern, nautical features and heated hardwood flooring. You can choose to dine al fresco on the terrace looking out across the lush green forest and sun-soaked waters.
The Beach House is a mere 3-minute walk from Hauai Bay and just five walking minutes from Oke Bay. At these magnificent beaches, you can go snorkeling and fishing paired with private surroundings. Local activities are abundant year round and include canoeing, fishing charters, sailing, parasailing, and more. After dinner, take a leisurely stroll on the nearby hiking trails and along Cape Brett Walkway, which is terrific for bird watching and discovering never before seen wildlife including swimming in the open waters with local dolphins! Watch them play from the deck of the house or get a closer view by taking out a kayak or swimming out to join them. Magic.
Arnalaya Beach House, Bali
Set right on the beachfront in Bali’s very cool Canggu district, The Arnalaya Beach House is an incredible, uber cool, 5 bedroom residence. Contemporary and achingly sophisticated in design. Lazing on the decking around the picture-perfect pool is the perfect location to relax with your family. The house is set in 4,500 m² of heavenly tropical gardens, so the landscaped lawns and the fragrance of beautiful flowers totally envelope you. The décor is sleek with clean lines, custom designed furniture and with an impeccable attention to detail throughout. Stunning ocean views seems to be presented to you wherever you look, even the en-suite bathrooms on the third-floor offer up a view! The area is quiet in fact the only sound likely to disturb your sleep is the gentle crashing of waves on the shore outside.
