Mlini itself has plenty to recommend it, including beautiful beaches, gardens and places of historical interest you can walk to, as well as a great choice of eateries. The hotel itself boasts luxurious accommodation, friendly and helpful staff and all the amenities you could wish for. British Airways offers direct flights from London Gatwick to Dubrovnik. The hotel is located just a 15 minute drive from the airport.

Review: Hotel Mlini
This recently built hotel is contemporary in design and boasts chic, stylish décor, with accents of blue as a nod to the beautiful Mediterranean sea on the doorstep. Smaller, more modern, and more intimate than nearby sister hotel Astarea, guests staying at Hotel Mlini can enjoy a more personal experience and boutique hotel feel while also benefitting from the facilities on offer at the Astarea – definitely the best of both worlds! Also situated within the grounds is Villa Jelic, a charming historical building where it is also possible to stay.

Rooms
You can choose from a range of accommodation at Hotel Mlini, from standard rooms through to superior rooms and suites. Many rooms boast their own private, spacious balconies and gorgeous sea views. With the hotel being so recently built, décor is modern and airy and rooms are furnished to a very high standard. Ensuite bathrooms have either showers or bathtubs, while amenities include air conditioning, satellite TV, a hairdryer, an in-room safe, a minibar, and complimentary Wi-Fi. Room Tips – Ask for the 4th floor for the best of the sea views, and bear in mind that standard rooms located in the Villa Jelic are slightly smaller and don’t have balconies.

Restaurants & Bars
Guests staying at Hotel Mlini have plenty of choice when it comes to dining, as the eateries at sister hotel Astarea are also at your disposal. At Mlini itself, Restaurant Agava offers Dalmatian-Mediterranean fusion cuisine using only the freshest seasonal ingredients and fish from the Adriatic, accompanied by premium wines. For something more relaxed, you can enjoy tasty pizzas and healthy snacks at the pizza bar, which also has a lovely terrace with a sea view. For drinks, the lobby bar or the Oleander beach bar will serve you well, and you can order light lunches at Oleander too. Over at the Astarea, there’s a plentiful breakfast and dinner buffet to enjoy in the main restaurant, as well as the tavern, which serves up a delicious selection of traditional local and Mediterranean dishes.

Pool & Activities
The Hotel Astarea has a beautiful swimming pool right by the beach, which guests of Hotel Mlini are welcome to use – it is just a couple of minutes walk away. There is also an indoor pool there, as well as a spa center with sauna and gym. Again, guests staying at Hotel Mlini have all this at their disposal. Exploring the local area is highly recommended as there are beautiful coves with pebble beaches and historical sites such as the churches of St Roko and St Duh to visit. Those who enjoy watersports will be pleased to know that windsurfing, water skiing, parasailing, and much more are available at nearby beaches.

Insider Info
Visiting Dubrovnik at least once is a must. You can either take the shuttle bus from the Astarea or a water taxi, but bear in mind that water taxis are quite a bit more expensive.

Hotel Mlini is a chic and luxurious hotel in a beautiful spot on the Dubrovnik Riviera.
