Book A Stay

With its beautiful scenery and fantastic beaches, it’s no surprise that Phuket is one of the most popular travel destinations in Thailand. For a small island, there’s a lot to see, from the stunning Phang Nga Bay with its sheer limestone cliffs and emerald waters to the quaint architecture and excellent restaurants of the old town, and from the colourful and outrageous Bangla Road nightlife to the magnificent Wat Chalong temple. Generally considered the best luxury resort on the island, the award winning Kata Rocks Resort & Residences is a show-stopping hotel, where every room is its own self-contained villa with private infinity pool and stunning ocean views. If you want to do Phuket in style, this is the place to stay! You can fly to Phuket from London Heathrow with Malaysia Airlines via Kuala Lumpur, with Thai Airways via Bangkok or with Etihad via Abu Dhabi. The hotel offers a greeting and transfer service, which means that they will take care of you from the moment you step off the plane until you are in the limousine on the way to Kata Rocks, 47 km from the airport.

Hotel
Five star Kata Rocks is one of the best luxury resorts in Phuket and has won many awards for its design and prides itself on its fabulous modern pool villas, relaxed atmosphere and traditional Thai hospitality. With your own self-contained villa, you can have as much privacy as you like, but there are some first rate facilities to take advantage of as well, including an excellent restaurant, spa and main pool. One feature that’s guaranteed to make you feel seriously pampered is the “Rock Star” personal concierge who will be assigned to you on arrival. Your Rock Star will escort you to your villa, unpack for you if you wish, and will be on call for anything you might need throughout your stay.

Rooms
Every villa at Kata Rocks is truly spectacular, with its own infinity pool and ocean views. Couples will find everything they could possibly want in the one bedroom villas, and can choose between those which are all on one level, or those with the bedroom located on the upper floor (Ocean Lofts). Families or groups can opt for two or three bedroom villas, or the sensational four bedroom penthouses. Décor throughout is modern, streamlined and striking, while features you can expect to enjoy include goose down bedding, sunbeds on the terrace by your private pool, Nespresso coffee machine, separate bath and walk-in shower, complimentary Wi-Fi, TV systems in the bedroom, living area and bathroom, and intuitive guest services and entertainment via iPad. Room Tips – All the rooms are of an exceptionally high standard and all boast ocean views and their own infinity pool, but some people may prefer to opt for the Ocean Lofts in order to get the views from the bedroom as well. Additionally, rooms further up the cliff are the most private.

Restaurant and Bar
The restaurant at Kata Rocks has an enviable position overlooking the ocean, and it’s worth booking a table for the sunset views alone! The great views aren’t all this restaurant has to offer, though – the quality of the food is fantastic and has attracted acclaim from the likes of Thailand Tatler Best Restaurant Guide. An excellent Thai menu is of course the order of the day, but with a Spanish chef at the helm, you can also enjoy some outstanding Mediterranean cuisine. The weekend brunch, featuring a vast spread of fresh seafood, is definitely worth experiencing if you can. There’s also a great lounge bar by the pool, where you can relax and enjoy the sunset with tapas or a cocktail. Make sure you try the Passion Fruit Mojito! If you fancy having a romantic night with your other half, you can dine “on the rocks” – right on the oceanfront, just you, the water, candlelight and that special someone. And of course you have your own kitchen and dining area at your villa, where, if you wish, the Kata Rocks culinary team will be happy to prepare an evening meal for you.

Pool and Activities
In addition to your own private pool at your villa, the hotel boasts a stunning 35 metre infinity pool for all guests to enjoy. You can also head to the Infinite Luxury Spa if you fancy being thoroughly pampered – they offer a wide range of treatments including traditional Thai massage – or to the gym, considered one of the most cutting edge in the area, for a workout session or yoga class. When you feel like exploring beyond Kata Rocks, you will find the sandy Kata beaches very close by, the town of Kata just a short walk away and Phuket town and Patong beach a twenty minute drive away.

Insider Info
It’s worth checking out the hotel’s website for special dining events, as there are several of these throughout the year and you can make reservations in advance. Once your stay is booked, have a look, and if anything takes your fancy, make sure you don’t miss out!

With breath taking private villas, amazing views and five-star service, this is an absolutely stunning hotel in a great position in Phuket.
