The service really is amazing at Athina, the staff will do their utmost to accommodate your every desire, and their attention to detail is impressive.
Rooms
All the rooms are very well equipped and include air conditioning, 32 inch LCD Satellite TV, separate hi-fi with iPod dock, safe, mini bar, bathrobes and slippers, Guy Laroche linens and towels and Hermes cosmetics; they even include a tablet pc and of course a private balcony with volcano and sea views – where better to watch the fabulous sunsets. There are just 10 suites in this intimate hotel; the Junior Suites are the most basic but are still stunning rooms and are ideal for 2 people; the Master Suites are split-level, loft-style and include a living area; Deluxe Suites are that bit more spacious and with the double sofa bed, would be perfect for families. The Royal Suite is the most exclusive and glamorous, sleeping up to 6 people. The balcony even includes its own Jacuzzi! But the Honeymoon Suite would get my vote for that romantic break away – it’s made for 2 and also has that private Jacuzzi on the balcony – you’ll struggle to leave the room!
Restaurants & Bars
The restaurant Esperisma has a reputation for both its exquisite Mediterranean cuisine and its fabulous cocktails – served with style and passion! Its situation on the cliffs is hard to beat, and yet again, you’ll be mesmerized by the views. Private dining is also available; it’s hard to picture a more romantic scene than an intimate candlelit dinner for two in this amazing setting. The poolside bar is open during the day, and by night, a café-bar stays open late.
There can be no better location for breakfast to be served each day than your own private balcony. There are so many wonderful sights to glimpse, the boats coming in and out of the ports and donkeys going up and down the steps.
Pool & Activities
The pool is perfectly positioned high on the cliff to ensure your poolside view has the max wow factor! This is the ideal spot to share a bottle of champagne while you bathe and soak up your beautiful surroundings. Time can be well spent exploring Fira, with its historic churches and monasteries and narrow lanes filled with cafes and shops.
