For luxury baby bits, look no further than Emy + Annie. The American artisan and designer, Emily Faust Rogers, and her team of seamstresses, make the most exquisite handmade rattles and super cute blankets. I got the chance to find out more about these unique pieces.

Emy + Annie originally started back in 2013 when Emily started making baby gifts for all her mommy-to-be friends. After a few baby showers, she had guests coming up to her and asking if she took custom orders and if she had a website that they could purchase these little felt toys. At that time, she was pregnant with her daughter and had just left the full time work force to try the stay-at-home mom gig. Emily started with an Etsy shop to see where it went. A few months after opening it, she started selling in a few boutiques and 3 years later and you can find Emy+Annie rattles and teething rings all across the U.S. and Europe soon.

What makes Emy + Annie products different is that their toys have been handcrafted into designs that little ones love. Product tested on her own daughter, and using high quality materials, Emily’s handmade products are some of the best on the market.

With increased demand, it’s been a bit of an adventure, to ensure that her products stay handmade assuring their quality. An amazing team of seamstresses make them and everything gets personally inspected by Emily before its sent out. Emily says “I always knew I wanted to work with felt and was incredibly excited to find a company that has environmentally-friendly felt. The felt Emy + Annie use is a hypo-allergenic felt made from post-consumer plastic bottles. It sounds a little odd at first, but its one of the softest felts I’ve found”.

Emily hopes to branch out into more of the nursery decor and bedding area. As we’re getting ready to enter the European market, there are some restrictions we’re having to work around being able to make sure we send out certified and safe products, but more and more she is really hoping they will offer more prints, bedding sets, and possibly even a wooden play gym or two.

The latest Emy + Annie products can be found at their website, but she posts some of her custom orders and other fun items and giveaways on their Instagram, @emyandannie.com.
