Emily Dalton Jewellery is all 100% handmade by Emily herself in her home in the beautiful Somerset countryside. Emily has a huge passion for jewellery and fashion and takes inspiration from boho culture and nature. She has been making handmade, bespoke and original jewellery items for over 10 years and has a stunning collection of items for you to choose from.

I asked Emily about her beautiful jewellery and where here ideas originated.

Jewellery has always fascinated me, I have been making handmade jewellery for over ten years now, it started out as a hobby, making for myself, friends and family; everyone would always get jewellery from me for Christmases and birthdays! My passion for jewellery really took off when I left collage and started ‘Belle Beads Boutique’ a bead and jewellery making boutique with my mother, Sarah, in our home town of Wells, Somerset. In the 6 years we had the shop I was able to develop my skills further and found my own style. We sold handmade jewellery by a few different artists, including mine. I also created bespoke jewellery for weddings and special occasions, so I already had experience of the market and selling my own work, and confidence that people liked it.

The shop is defiantly what lead me to what I am doing now, my mother and I are both creative people. My mother is a textile artist, and we both decided we wanted to be making rather than running a shop to supply other makers, we didn’t realise that having a shop would leave hardly any time for our own work.
The idea behind starting my own business was that I wanted to have complete creative freedom, and dedicate all of my time to work on my own jewellery collections. So at the end of last year we closed the shop and I launched ‘Emily Dalton Jewellery’. It was a big leap to take but it has been so exciting growing the business and seeing how much people love my work.

I am thrilled to be featured in Tatler magazine next month in their ‘Hot Rocks’ ‘jewellery and watch guide 2016’ , as well as Vogue magazines ‘ Vogue jewellery edit’ this August. You can see my collections online at www.emilydaltonjewellery.co.uk where there is also a list of my stockists.

My designs are original & handmade; I create all of my pieces, from start to finish in my studio in beautiful Somerset. There is something very magical about being able to turn an idea in your head into a physical form! My current collections are very inspired by bohemian culture and nature but my inspirations can change like wind, so you never know what is just around the corner for Emily Dalton Jewellery!

I have lots of ideas for future designs, including more bohemian head pieces for bridal or festival jewellery. I would also like to create more bespoke jewellery for weddings and special occasions, as there is nothing I love more than to see someone thrilled with a unique one off piece of jewellery that has been made just for them!

My aim with the business at the moment is to find a few more stockists; ideally I’d like to work with more independent boutiques.
