The beauty of the Tuscan countryside is world renowned, and with its location in the heart of Val d’Orcia, a UNESCO World Heritage site to the South of Siena, the luxury hotel Adler Thermae Spa & Relax Resort enjoys the very best of it. In this breathtakingly beautiful spot, surrounded by rolling hills and cypress trees and close to picturesque Renaissance towns and wine growing areas, the Adler Thermae offers outstanding facilities including an award-winning spa. For anyone looking for a relaxing break in gorgeous surroundings, this is a dream travel destination. British Airways and Iberia fly direct to Florence from Gatwick, while British Airways and Air France operate out of City. From Florence Airport, the Adler Thermae is just under a two hour drive away.

Hotel
This five star hotel is situated in the heart of the Tuscan countryside and boasts beautiful views from every angle. With a huge wellness centre including vast indoor and outdoor pools, saunas, gym and sports grounds, it’s the perfect place to take a break from the usual stresses of day to day life.

Rooms
Guests can choose between a single suite (for one guest), double room superior (for two guests) or family suite (suitable for up to four people). All rooms are spacious, bright and airy and elegantly decorated, and all have their own terrace or balcony and lovely panoramic views of the Tuscan hills. King size beds, healthy bio air conditioning, minibar, Sky TV and free Wi-Fi connection are also standard throughout. Bathrooms have separate bath tubs and showers and come well equipped with hairdryers and 150 ml toiletries. Room Tips – While the standard of all rooms is pretty equal throughout, those wanting direct access to the pool and garden should opt for a ground floor room, while rooms on the first floor boast the best views. If you’re after as much peace and quiet as you can get, choose a room that’s furthest away from the pool area.

Restaurant and Bar
The charming courtyard-style restaurant at Adler Thermae has a sliding roof so you can dine beneath the stars and offers an authentic taste of Tuscany. Chef Gaetano Vaccaro and his team source the freshest produce from local organic farms, while the herbs used are grown in the hotel’s own garden. At breakfast, guests can choose from a vast selection including home baked bread and croissants, eggs cooked to order and fresh fruit juices. For lunch, opt for pasta dishes, light salads or something from the barbeque, and in the mid-afternoon, indulge in freshly made cakes or pastries. In the evenings, enjoy four or five course gourmet dinners together with carefully selected wines. If you just want to relax with a drink, the piano bar is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the spectacular views of the surrounding countryside.

Pool and Activities
Without a doubt, the highlight of this hotel is the spa and wellness centre. Boasting a thousand m² of indoor and outdoor pools, you can enjoy thermal waters (recognised for their healing properties since Roman times), a semi-Olympic sized pool and a pool that simulates the experience of swimming in a river. Visit the Grotta Salina, where the water is enriched with cleansing and circulation-boosting Dead Sea salt, or opt for one of the many sauna or steam bath experiences on offer. The spa also provides a wide variety of massage, facial and body treatments. If you fancy a break from all that pampering, you can visit the fitness centre where you can work out or join a class while enjoying the views of the stunning scenery, or take advantage of guided walks or cycling tours. A kids’ club is available for children aged four and over.

Insider Info
Some of the small neighbouring towns around the hotel are well worth visiting. Pienza in particular boasts attractive architecture, great food and a fascinating history and would make for a great excursion during your stay. Look out for the Palazzo Piccolomini – used during the filming of Franco Zeffirelli’s “Romeo and Juliet”.

The Hotel Adler Thermae offers luxurious accommodation and a first-rate spa in the heart of the beautiful Tuscan countryside.
