Accommodation and Amenities
A modern alternative to a traditional camping experience, accommodation at Cwn Tawel is in Tipis or charming Mongolian Yurts. Yurts can sleep up to five people. Beds are provided (one double and three singles), and interiors are decked out in stylish fashion with ethnic furniture, while a central log burner provides an inviting place to relax with a generous supply of plump cushions and cozy sheepskins. Outside, there is a private deck with BBQ and seating. A fully equipped communal kitchen boasts a wood-fired Rayburn for cooking, while there is also an outdoor cob/clay oven and all crockery and cutlery is provided. All you need to bring with you is your bedding or sleeping bags. Guests can also enjoy the use of a wood-fired hot tub – an extra touch of luxury!
Activities
Cwn Tawel offers a range of outdoor crafts and skills courses including wild wood foraging, willow basket making, and campfire cooking. In addition, there are many great walks and cycle tracks nearby, as well as excellent beaches such as Porthcawl, Restbay, and Ogmore by Sea which are particularly good for surfing. Stargazing on clear nights is also a treat not to be missed!
