I love it when you find a luxury brand that has a sense of humor, somehow using their products can actually put a smile on your face. My latest find like this is Walton Wood Farm, a wonderful collection of bathing and body care products that don’t take themselves to seriously and have names that are rather tongue-in-cheek!
The range was created in 2014 by Peter and Leslie Scott who own Walton Wood Farm in Ontario, Canada. The brand was born out of the desire to restore an aging 160-year old barn on their farm and started with Leslie creating bath salts in her own kitchen and selling them door-to-door to raise money for the restoration and the rest, as they say, is history as the brand has really taken off and the range is expanding by the day. Even Hollywood celebrities are enjoying the brand with their quirky ‘Thaw Out Winter’s a B*tch Hand Rescue’ being given to all the cast of Leonardo DiCaprio’s latest film, The Revenant.
With Peter’s 40 years’ farming and business experience, and Leslie’s award-winning writing skills, Walton Wood Farm is definitely here to stay. The range is cruelty-free and created using the very best high quality, sustainable ingredients sourced from the U.S. and Canada. Their portfolio now includes body lotions, body washes, colognes, bath salts, hand creams, and more and best of all, their products are paraben, dye, and SLS (a common but skin-irritating cleanser) free and a % of all their profits go to develop scrubland and restore beautiful old historic barns for future generations to come – so not only can you smell and look great with these products but you can feel great about using them too. My favorites are the Birthday Girl Sugar Scrub with an edible vanilla buttercream scent and the Week From Hell Shower Retreat with its uplifting pink grapefruit and rosemary fragrance.
Walton Wood Farm is also not just for women, as there’s a great range of very popular men’s products, including their solid colognes which have become a huge hit. These colognes have light and fresh soy-based scents with fun names like “The Texan” (with subtle notes of tobacco and fresh-cut cactus) and “The Beast” (a citrus blend of lemongrass and mandarin with manly traces of cardamom and pepper). Each fragrance is subtle and, as you only need a small amount, one of the colognes could last you for as long as a year! The colognes have also been approved for carry-on luggage, making them the perfect companion on your next luxury travels!
So if you’re looking for a new body care brand to try, give Walton Wood Farm a go, it’s sure to put a smile on your face and leave you smelling and feeling great!
