Travel Essentials For Your Beauty Bag This Summer

Is your beauty bag full of half used bottles of lotions and congealed mascaras? Every spring I clean out of all the lipsticks that I hate (the unpleasant colours reminds me why they remain in my bag!), fragrances that just never matched my skin and makeup that is frankly fit for the bin.

Here are just some of the new travel essentials which you should have in your beauty bag this summer and I promise, this selection will make you smell gorgeous and look fabulous.

My first recommendation is Korres’s newest line. Their almond and cherry body lotion is simply delicious. Loving cherry yoghurt is not a prerequisite for loving this collection but I guarantee that if you even slightly enjoy cherry and almond deserts you will want to drown yourself in this latest uplifting and nearly edible collection.

I have been using Korres makeup for years. They have a superb eyeliner (complete with volcanic minerals), a great selection of shadow colours with a felt tip pen style application which is so easy to use and a nice selection of vibrant lipsticks. In the summer I also swear by their sunscreens which have grape extract in them and do actually smell like a very creamy grape. At 50ml it isn’t crazily big to fit in your travel bag.

For my summer fragrances, I am wearing Giorgio Armani Si which reminds me of foreign lands. Giorgio describes the perfume as “Irresistibly independent and eternally optimistic, she has the confidence to give in to emotion and be seduced by freedom.” I really like this description and I have loved this fragrance ever since it launched. Ralph Lauren has a very summery fragrance in their “Romance”. It is woody and floral and if you usually like Ralph Lauren fragrances you will like this one. Emporio Armani has come out with a 30ml bottle of their purple coloured Diamonds Violet. This size is very handy for travel and launched last summer. What does it smell like? Well it was meant to be deigned for “It Girls” and with fruity top notes, sweet praline and vanilla, it feels fun. Finally, I like Viktor & Rolf flowerbomb which weirdly is not very flowery! This is a dry, woody and only slightly sweet fragrance which is perfect for warm evenings – I consider it a well behaved version of Thierry Muglers Angel. You can buy all these fragrances at Lloyds Pharmacy and they will make you smell super for the summer of 2016.
